Our team is incredibly responsive. We have extensive industry knowledge and we know what products to keep in stock and what products to develop next.

Despite substantial local competition, GIGAFLIGHT has enjoyed an uncommonly strong start, achieving both AS9100 and ISO certifications within 9 months of launch. Even more notable, GIGAFLIGHT then earned FAA PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) Production Approval Holder status during the company’s first 18 months. Certification in any one of these standards requires a substantial commitment of time and resources. Pursuing and achieving all three on an accelerated timeline speaks to the confidence and determination of Air Force veteran and company founder Ben Hackett.

Hackett, who has over 31 years designing and selling aerospace cables and connectors, credits his core team with making these rapid certifications possible. Many of GIGAFLIGHT’s team members boast decades of experience, specialized knowledge, and an understanding of the demands common within the aerospace industry:

  • Chuck Chapman: Product Engineering Manager, 20 years at Carlisle ECS
  • Felicia Watkins Johnson: Operations Manager, 10 years at PIC Wire & Cable
  • Kim Krueger: Production Manager, 28 years at Carlisle ECS
  • Karl Heider: Quality Manager, 38 years at PIC Wire & Cable
  • Jeff Beutel: Account Manager, 10 years at ECS
  • Nic Morgan: European Sales & Support, 13 years at PIC Wire & Cable
  • Jessica Glaszcz: Marketing & Graphics Communications, 8 years at EMTEQ (B/E Aerospace)

On top of an impressive professional roster, GIGAFLIGHT has been able to depend on existing relationships with key suppliers who are eager to collaborate on projects – a decidedly attractive qualification in times fraught with supply chain disruptions.

Hackett attributes GIGAFLIGHT’s swift progress to effective relationship management in all aspects of the business: “Our team is incredibly responsive. We have extensive industry knowledge and we know what products to keep in stock and what products to develop next. We are able to design custom cables in a matter of days, we can ship assemblies in 1-2 days, and can even help sort out any technical issues for customers. Ultimately, it’s the relationships we maintain with our customers and suppliers as well as internally that have made us so successful, so quickly.”

According to Hackett, GIGAFLIGHT has seen increased revenue each quarter – a significant accomplishment even in years not marked by a global pandemic. Two years in, their growing customer base and increasing requests for custom designs show no signs of stopping.
