Orange County Public Schools Begins Upgrades as Part of OTC's Comprehensive Building and Renovation Plan.
ORLANDO, Fla., July 06, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gilbane is providing construction management services for the comprehensive renovation project located in the heart of Creative Village within Orange Technical College's (OTC) main campus. OTC is part of Orange County Public Schools and has five campuses offering various technical programs of study leading to career certifications and licensures in some of the area's most critical fields.

For the first time since the building's opening in 1981, this 135,000 SF, five-story occupied facility will undergo complete renovation as part of this overhaul effort. Gilbane Building Company will accomplish this project in two phases with an anticipated completion date of late fall of 2023. Gilbane's team is hard at work, running two shifts daily. Construction of 1st phase is currently underway in full swing while part of the building remains occupied and classes are held daily. Both phases of the project shall consist of extensive interior renovations, from complete interior demolition to building new spaces. The newly built facility will include areas with state-of-the-art technology for labs, focused on training rooms with specializations in healthcare and patient care, including practical nursing technology, health unit coordinator/monitor technician, dental assisting, patient care assistant, nursing assistant, surgical technology, intensive care unit training space, examination rooms, administrative offices, student services, a campus store, and conference space.
