Gilbane Alberici Joint Venture Project Earns ENR Global Best Project Merit Award
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) November 08, 2017 -- The Gilbane Alberici Joint Venture team has earned the merit award in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) Global Best Projects Competition. The award recognizes the Gilbane Alberici Joint Venture’s international construction efforts on the Constellation Brands Brewery Project in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

The Expansion of the Piedras Negras Brewery - Phase 2 project for Constellation Brands earned the Merit Award for Global Best Project in the Manufacturing category. The Gilbane Alberici JV is serving as construction manager in an agency role to manage the architect/engineer, brewery process vendor and the packaging/warehouse vendors. The Gilbane Alberici JV is also serving as the general contractor for the delivery of the buildings, rail line expansion, water and wastewater plants expansions, expansion of the cogeneration plant and utilities.

ENR’s panel of industry veterans looked at projects across multiple international markets and examined safety performance, innovations, challenges, and design and construction quality - with a special emphasis on the diversity of global project teams and their collaboration. They also considered how the project benefits the local community and/or the construction industry.
