Gilbane Building Company Breaks Ground on New Chemistry Building
ATHENS, Ohio (PRWEB) August 31, 2018 -- Officials from Ohio University, Gilbane Building Company and the students gathered on August 30 to celebrate the groundbreaking of Ohio University’s new Chemistry Building.
Gilbane is serving as construction manager for the new 69,000 SF, three-story, state-of-the-art facility. The new chemistry building is phase 1 of the Clippinger renovation and will feature student and faculty collaboration spaces, research laboratories and offices for faculty and graduate students. The new building is carefully situated to preserve the nearby Sycamore trees. Completion of the project is set for summer 2020.
