This key hire signals the launch of Gillware's proactive security services to better protect businesses and individuals from malicious cybercrimes.
Gerg has nearly two decades of experience leading various cybersecurity initiatives such as penetration testing, IT auditing, intrusion detection, regulatory compliance and policy development for a diverse set of businesses. As CSO and Vice President of Infrastructure and Engineering at Healthgrades, Gerg developed the risk management and reporting program for the organization. Prior to Healthgrades, Gerg was the Director of Corporate Information Security for Trustwave. In that role, he was the primary quality assurance reviewer for all PCI-DSS and PABP/PS-DSS assessments and the primary liaison for all major credit card brands. Gerg also authored the O'Reilly and Associates book "Managing Network Security with Snort and IDS Tools."
