GitPrime Raises $10.5 Million for Data-Driven Software Engineering
DURANGO, Colo. (PRWEB) April 25, 2018 -- Today, GitPrime, the leader in software engineering analytics, announced $10.5M in Series A financing led by OpenView, the expansion stage venture capital firm, with participation from existing investor Data Collective. To date the company has raised $13M and was a member of the Y Combinator 2016 Winter batch. The new funding will be used to expand GitPrime’s product and continue to scale their team.
“As engineering leaders, our mission is to keep the team on track and help each engineer reach their potential, yet even seemingly simple questions like ‘Who should I help today?’ or ‘Did everyone make progress yesterday?’ are surprisingly difficult to answer,” said Travis Kimmel, co-founder and CEO of GitPrime, himself a former engineering manager. “I realized engineers were building powerful productivity tools for everyone else, but we were relying on storytelling and gut feeling to evaluate our own progress. I knew there had to be a better way, so we built it.”
Engineering is the fastest growing, most capital intensive, and often the most strategic division of an enterprise, yet the work itself lacks visibility.
