ET November 23rd (Black Friday), tickets for the venue's 2019 Wednesday Jazzy Nights Series and Premium Seat Licenses will be on sale at The Aretha Box Office. Online sales at ticketmaster.com will begin on Black Friday as well.
The series of twelve Wednesday Jazzy concerts featuring nationally acclaimed artists has become a summer tradition in Detroit. The series kicks off in early June and will feature favorite headliners such as Brian Culbertson, Will Downing, Najee, Black Violin, Jonathan Butler, Kirk Whalum plus many other renowned musicians to be announced. Season tickets for Wednesday Jazzy Nights at The Aretha are the best entertainment deal in town. Purchasers of season tickets will receive 12 shows for the price of 11 at $268*.
Personal Seat Licenses (PSL) also go on sale starting November 23rd. A great option for music lovers, a PSL allows license holders to select and secure their preferred seats for all 2019 paid concerts at The Aretha. With a PSL purchase, selected seat(s) will be held under the name of the license holder up to three weeks before the show. If the license holder does not purchase the seat(s), those tickets will be released for sale to the public. The cost of each PSL starts at $500.
In addition to the Wednesday Jazzy Nights series, The Aretha will be the destination for many outstanding weekend shows. The first weekend show to be announced is UB40, the popular reggae pop band, will perform for the first time at the venue on August 2, 2019. Tickets for this event will also go on sale November 23.
