Give the Gift of Energy Savings This Holiday Season
Burlington, VT (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- As the holiday shopping season officially kicks off this week, Efficiency Vermont is partnering with retailers to offer compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) for just 99 cents – and the chance to win some great energy saving prizes.
Every weekend through the end of the year, Efficiency Vermont will co-host events at retailers throughout the state to promote the benefits of energy saving lighting, and the instant discounts that are currently available to Vermont residents on select ENERGY STAR ® bulbs. Shoppers at these in-store events will also get a chance to win energy saving prizes for every 99 cent CFL bulb they purchase.
CFLs use less energy than traditional incandescent light bulbs, and can last up to 10 times longer. Just one CFL can save more than $26 in energy costs over the life of the bulb. Although energy efficient light bulbs typically cost more than incandescent bulbs, Efficiency Vermont has established partnerships with retailers throughout Vermont to offer instant savings on select ENERGY STAR lighting products such as CFLs and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), while supplies last.
