OSLO, Norway, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global Pivot Equity Limited ("GPE"), a Hong Kong-based cross-border M&A and capital markets advisory firm, has acquired a 15% ownership stake in Closva AS ("Closva"), a Norwegian technology platform using artificial intelligence to simplify small and medium-sized business transactions. As part of the investment, GPE's Managing Partner, Ulrik Hoksnes Karlsen, will join Closva's Board of Directors.
GPE's investment is structured as a long-term strategic partnership. In addition to its equity position, GPE will serve as a strategic advisor to Closva on deal sourcing and market development, drawing on its cross-border transaction experience and its international investor network across Scandinavia, Europe, and Asia.
Founded by four Norwegian entrepreneurs, Closva combines AI-powered technology with expert advisory support to make transactions in the SMB segment faster, more transparent and more accessible. The platform addresses a structurally underserved part of the Norwegian market, where many business owners approaching succession or exit lack access to the tools and professional guidance available in larger transactions.
Ulrik Hoksnes Karlsen brings more than 10 years of cross-border M&A experience. He is a co-founder of Global Pivot Equity and a serial entrepreneur in the financial services space.
