Global Alliance of Marketing Technologists Launches Professional Organization, Credentialing
Lexington, KY (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- The Global Alliance of Marketing Technologists (http://www.GAMTech.org) today announced the launch of a professional organization for marketing technologists, one of the world’s fastest growing career opportunities.
The association will offer individuals and organizations full membership benefits and features. GAMTech provides professional credentialing through online testing and certification. "As the field of marketing technology grows, people seeking employment, promotion, and project opportunities will be required to demonstrate basic and advanced knowledge and skills," said Jack Yager, Executive Director of GAMTech.
"The future for marketing technologists is extremely bright, but no entity or structure existed to consolidate all of the various levels of interest. As with CPAs, professional coaches or engineers, the formation of a single association is critical to help set standards and identify skilled providers ,"Yager noted. GAMTech is also committed to offering greater social engagement with members and the ability to create personal and professional initiatives .
Marketing technology covers areas as diverse as analytics, automation, strategy, planning, consumer behavior, web design, and research. The industry’s need for people highly skilled in both traditional marketing and technology drives the demand for finding skilled individuals.
Recent studies identified over 1,000 firms directly involved in providing marketing technology services, with thousands more offering related products and services.
“We recognized marketing technology as an emerged career field, but people were facing real challenges,” said Yager. “Without an organization to offer credentialing or certification testing, there was no method to demonstrate basic professional knowledge and skills. That placed everyone at a disadvantage. Employers had to assume everyone was at the same level, while people seeking work had no way to show they knew what to do.”
GAMTech plans to develop the organization into a single, unbiased voice for the industry. “The forecast of the growth of marketing technology, including the ‘internet of things’ and new channels of digital communications and sales still to come, will mean collaboration and cooperation will be necessary to avoid confusion and duplication,” Yager explained.
The Global Alliance of Marketing Technologists (GAMTech.org) is a professional membership association offering individuals, companies and affiliate organizations the opportunity to join with others in leading the practice, teaching, and development of marketing technology worldwide. GAMTech offers a full line of member benefits including professional certification.
