GMED encourages anyone who will be celebrating the holidays with people not in their immediate household to get tested first to limit the spread of the coronavirus. COVID testing is available at GMED's two Houston locations and its clinic in Old Town Scottsdale by appointment, with results provided the same day.

The test includes a pain-free nasal swab that can be self-administered - minimizing the exposure between test takers and health care providers. This highly accurate 3-in-1 test directly detects the presence of COVID-19 and Influenza A and/or B and test results are returned the same day.

All testing sites will be closing at 1 pm on December 24 (Christmas Eve) and will be closed on December 25 (Christmas Day). Next week, Rapid COVID Clinics will close at 1 pm on December 31 (New Year's Eve) and will be closed on January 1 (New Year's Day).
The test does not require a doctor's referral. Individuals must schedule an appointment for the Phoenix testing site; Houston locations offer testing by appointment and on a drop-in basis.
