“TXC Legends 7” will also be broadcast live on ONE World Sports (9:30 pm EST).
In the night’s main event, Adrian “The Eagle” Hadribeaj of Tirana, Albania will put his undefeated 5-0 record on the line and defend his TXC Lightweight World Championship in a five-round battle against Windsor, Ontario, Canada’s Kyle “The Professional” Prepolec (8-2).
Tickets for “TXC Legends 7” are priced at 35$ General Admission, $50.00 Outside VIP, $150 VIP Seating. Tables for 10 are available for $3000 (first row) and $2500 (second row) and can be purchased through Netpix.com, or by calling 248.252.0427.
A deadly striker, Hadribeaj is a Karate and Jiu-Jitsu specialist, representing Fuse MMA. In addition to TXC, he has competed for Bellator MMA.
"I am coming in to be the best “The Eagle” I have ever been,” said Hadribeaj. “I have proven through every step of my career that I love to fight best guys possible. I build my confidence by defeating them. He’s never faced someone like me. This is going to be an exciting fight and I’m very happy to headline this event and to be walking to the cage with my Albanian fans taking over the place!”
Proudly fighting for the Maximum Fitness team (MFC), Canada’s Prepolec is a well-rounded fighter with excellent striking skills to complement a strong ground game. Prepolec has also fought for Bellator MMA.
“I feel great coming into this fight you’re going to see a new and more complete Kyle in this fight,” said Prepolec. “Adrian is a solid striker, but he’s just another fighter in my path. The reason I will win is I have more heart, more skills, and I am the more complete fighter. I only train to win.”
In the heavily anticipated five-round co-main event, Clinton Township, Michigan’s Mike “The Hurricane” Hernandez (9-2) of Michigan Top Team will face Wilmington, North Carolina’s (via Toledo, Ohio) Josh “Shortstack” Robinson (12-11) of Elite Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the TXC Bantamweight World Championship.
The two are former training partners and Hernandez says he’s not fond of Robinson. “I know him well. I don’t like him very much. He has a big ego. He’s not my kind of guy, put it that way. Josh is a good ‘point fighter.’ He’s not a big finisher. I expect he’ll try to frustrated me, but I’ve had the best training camp I’ve ever had and I’ll be looking to knock him out.”
“This is an extremely exciting time for TXC and Michigan MMA,” said event promoter Joe Battaglia. “We are happy to be broadcasting Live on ONE World Sports, because Michigan fighters get a chance to fight live in over 30 million homes. TXC is where the best fighters from the Midwest choose to compete.”
Battaglia says he’s very proud of the stacked-up level of talent competing on this show. “TXC is putting on another amazing card. There are four or five main event-type fights on this card. You will see several of these guys in the UFC and Bellator in the near Future. Glen Quinn (Matchmaker) and I try to make each card better than the last!”
Three more five-round world title fights are also scheduled, as Detroit’s Victor “Bonecrusher” Jones (3-2) will defend his TXC Light Heavyweight Championship against Roseville, Michigan’s “Bad” Brad Burick (15-12); Detroit’s Shamir Garcia (6-1) will face Gregory “The Arubian Assassin” Milliard (3-3) of Aruba for the TXC Middleweight Championship; and East Lansing, Michigan’s Bobby Nash (4-1) will take on undefeated John “The Silent Assassin” White (2-0) of Jackson, Michigan, for the TXC Welterweight Championship.
An exciting undercard, packed with up-and-coming talent, is also scheduled including an appearance by 18-year-old MMA prodigy TJ “The Truth” Laramie (3-0) of Windsor, Ontario. He will face Lapeer, Michigan’s Vince Murdock (6-2) in a three-round bantamweight war.
A full card of full-contact amateur MMA action will precede the professional fights. Doors for the amateur fights open at 3 pm. The professional action starts at 6 pm. The Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Avenue in Novi, Michigan.
