Mary's beginning was not pretty. She was sexually abused as a child, married young, suffered many losses in her family, was betrayed, and almost lost her own life. She ended up taking to the streets to survive before finally getting a second chance at life.
"At first it was just a journal to keep track of events that happened to me and to my family and to keep track of research and then I realized that it needed to become a book," said Mary.
Mary C.S. Lima was born in Portugal and eventually became a U.S. citizen. She graduated from Patten University in 2009, and also attended Toastmasters. Mary became a co-facilitator for the Phobease classes led by Dr. Howard Liebgold and served her local congregation as a care and prayer minister. Mary is now semi-retired as she pursues her dream of becoming a writer and enjoys her granddaughter to the fullest.
