LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- First published in 2018, "Life Has You in Mind" (published by Trafford Publishing) by GodsGirl offers readers a glimpse into the journey of an African American woman who once felt abandoned in life but lived to make a difference in society.
This year, the author launches a new press campaign for the book to reach a wider audience and inspire more people with her personal story.
"Life Has You in Mind" tells an inspiring story of a young girl who allowed her life to unfold with God's plan, grow with brokenness and be restored through God's grace. An excerpt from the book reads:
Now that I have grown into an adult, I understand why it takes a village to raise one child. The village on G Street was responsible for the support that helped me develop as a young girl. The only problem that destroyed my self-esteem was how people would gossip when I became pregnant at fourteen years old. This destroyed the hope I had as a youth. I saw several families were destroyed because of society, drugs, and alcohol. I have a story to share about a community that helped encourage one another become all that we are today.
The book, in essence, is about a woman healing from her past. Here, readers bear witness on how she found freedom from domestic violence, addiction and life's challenges.
"[The] inspiration came from wanting to share my story with others to let them know life is a journey. No matter what happens just keep going forward," GodsGirl says, adding that, "Life has you in Mind for God's purpose. This book testifies that 'black girls can't dream' is a lie."
