The authenticated signatures include Basketball Hall of Famers, NBA Champions, and All-Stars. The signatures on the set represent the individuals selected as the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history for the NBA’s Golden Anniversary season in 1996-97. The only signature missing is the late Pete Maravich who passed away in 1988. Each signature has been authenticated by PSA/DNA, the gold standard in autograph authentication.

The first multi-signed basketball in this set is a Spalding Official NBA Indoor/Outdoor David J. Stern basketball with 14 signatures in black marker, including Jerry West, Bill Walton, Jerry Lucas, Bill Cunningham, Magic Johnson, Wes Unseld, Dave Bing, Earl Monroe, John Stockton, John Havlicek, Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed and Julius “Dr. J.” Erving. The second multi-signed basketball is a Wilson Microfiber Composite Evolution basketball with eight signatures in black marker, including Michael Jordan, Dave Cowens, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, and Larry Bird.
The third basketball in this set is a Spalding Official NBA Indoor/Outdoor basketball with 14 signatures in black marker, including Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O'Neal, Lenny Wilkens, Nate Thurmond, Elgin Baylor, Paul Arizin, Sam Jones, Dolph Schayes, Bob Pettit, Hal Greer, George Mikan, James Worthy, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The fourth basketball is a Spalding Official NBA David J. Stern game ball with 13 signatures in black marker, including Bob Cousy, Isiah Thomas, Dave Debusschere, Nate Archibald, Walt Frazier, Elvin Hayes, George Gervin, Bill Sharman, Kevin McHale, Moses Malone, Rick Barry, Oscar Robertson and Robert Parish. Each basketball in the set comes is authenticated by PSA/DNA.
