Golf Academy of America Holds Summer 2018 Graduation
During the 2018 summer graduation ceremonies at each of the school's five locations, Golf Academy of America congratulated dozens of graduates on completing their studies. At Golf Academy of America in Dallas, the first female valedictorian earned her degree.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Golf Academy of America announced today that dozens of students across all campuses graduated on Saturday, August 18. Graduation ceremonies were held near all campuses in Dallas, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Phoenix and San Diego.
At each location, the ceremony began with opening remarks, followed by the introduction of the valedictorian and salutatorian and the bestowing of special recognition and awards.
At Golf Academy of America in Dallas, Rebecca L. Ahlbrecht, from St. Paul, Minnesota, earned the distinction of being the school's first female valedictorian. Ahlbrecht was an Honors graduate and earned additional certificates in tournament operations and general management. The school's salutatorian was Logan Loewer from Alexandria, Louisiana, also an Honors graduate. Loewer earned his teaching certificate as well.
In Myrtle Beach, Shawn Whitmore earned the coveted valedictorian role, while Aaron Mast was salutatorian.
Meanwhile, at Golf Academy of America in Orlando, two graduates shared the spotlight as valedictorian: Christoff Feldtmann, who is originally from South Africa, and Bone Sheehan, who also earned the Conrad Rehling Achievement Award. Sheehan's wife, Lisa Sheehan, was honored as salutatorian. The school's Growth of the Game Award went to Feldtmann, Kenny Kotch and Brad Saxton.
Golf Academy of America in Phoenix's valedictorian was Chris Kielp, while the salutatorian was Tim Trombley.
On the San Diego campus, valedictorian Chris Hinkle addressed the crowd. Following his remarks, Matthew Lopez, Associate Golf Coach at Golf Excellence International gave a keynote speech. The Most Improved Player award went to Michael Hawes.
Each campus' ceremony concluded with a presentation of graduates.
