GoNoodle Announces Good Energy At Home Program to Support Families & Teachers during Mass Closures of American Elementary Schools

Premium movement & mindfulness content, learning resources, and off-screen activities aim to activate the natural positivity of our kids and create good energy

For more than six years, GoNoodle has been a trusted resource for teachers who want to help kids get moving while making learning fun. In the face of the new coronavirus crisis and school closings around the world, we want to do everything we can to help.

Between now and when schools reopen, or summer break begins, we’ve created a free online resource for parents, teachers, and kids: GoNoodle: Good Energy at Home. We think everyone needs good energy right now - whether that takes the form of a family dance party, a song and activity that reinforces something kids are learning at school, or a mindfulness or yoga video to help us all relieve stress and get a break from the intensity of it all. We want to help kids (and their families!) find balance in the day, get moving even if stuck inside, and have some fun.

“GoNoodle exists to create and harness good energy,” said KC Estenson, CEO of GoNoodle. “We want to give kids ways to channel their incredible spirits by helping them to be more active, more mindful, more aware of themselves and their community, and to have fun while learning. Oh, and all of that applies to all of the adults in their lives too!”

GoNoodle Good Energy includes premium content and learning materials that are used in four-out-of-five U.S. elementary schools - including movement and mindfulness videos as well as downloadable learning resources and ideas for off-screen activities for kids and families to do at home. There’s also a Good Energy channel on all GoNoodle home apps (iOS, Android, AppleTV, Amazon Fire, Roku) where all the videos from the Good Energy page can be used by kids directly. We will add Good Energy content and send parents and teachers fresh resources, tools, and at-home good energy ideas weekly (sign up on the Good Energy page).

It is our firm belief that children should be aware of what is going on in the world, especially as it relates to the novel coronavirus, but also not unduly burdened by it. GoNoodle is a kid-safe product built with teachers, parents, and partners in mind. It has always been about pumping up endorphins and lessening stress - all while helping kids develop and grow. We hope this good-energy-fueled content helps teachers and parents with at-home options and lets kids continue to be their funny, healthy, happy selves.

We’d love suggestions on social media about content you’d like to see added to Good Energy - just @GoNoodle on Instagram or Facebook and hashtag your ideas #goodenergy.
