Tyrone Chatman, Executive Director of the MVF, presented the award to the senior partners of Goodman Acker – Barry Goodman and Gerald Acker – and thanked the law firm’s lawyers and staff for their help and efforts in trying to eliminate homelessness among Detroit Veterans.

On Veterans Day, the personal injury law firm held a “Caring For Our Homeless Veterans Benefit” at Detroit Tough Gym in Corktown. The benefit was a collection drive/walk-run in which community members could donate gently used or new items and walk/run to deliver those items to Veterans in need.
The event proved to be a huge success, collecting more than eight truckloads of clothing, coats, blankets, shoes, business suits, disposable goods and more for Detroit’s homeless Veterans. Additionally, the attorneys raised more than $2,000 in funds that went to the MVF.
