GOYA-Move for iOS Launches a New Feature Called CHORES
GOYA-Move adds an exciting new feature to their highly successful Parental Control app for managing your childs use of screentime.
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- P-Ink Ventures Inc., a mobile app company, announced today the launch of GOYA-Move, with a new function called Chores. The app, which stands for "Get Off Your Apps," is the first-ever reward based screen time access application aimed to assist parents in managing their children's screen time. The new Chores feature allows parents to assign chores and/or tasks for their children and restricts access to selected apps until completed. Unlike other tools on the market that operate as parental control apps, GOYA-Move promotes Digital Health & Wellbeing by encouraging children to participate in physical activity and help out around the house. No Chore/Task Completion, No Apps.
The child view of the GOYA-Move App lets kids see their step progress, chore assignments and blackout times on their device, while parents get to manage and monitor the chores/tasks and app blockage from their own device. With numerous customizable features within the app, GOYA-Move makes goals attainable for children, and even adults, of any age.
"Right now, we are being reactive when it comes to kids with technology and device use. Our goal is to get to the place where we are being proactive which would ultimately allow us to be the footprint in the change of how children interact with technology and their devices," said Keri Mackey, Co-founder and Marketing Director at GOYA-Move. "Rewarding kids with screen time allows for a better mindset toward being active and even completing chores and tasks. With this revolutionary app, parents can end the stigma around exercise and get kids moving again."
GOYA-Move has created a more reasonable way of dealing with screen time addiction and provides an attainable method for children to learn about screen time moderation and teach them accountability. Here's how Goya-Chores works:
- Parents download the GOYA-Move app on both the parent's devices and their children's devices and begin with the 5-day free trial, GOYA-Chores is automatically included.
- Once logged in, parents add each of their children's devices to their account
- Parents then set specific chores (e.g., "Walk the dog" or "Make your bed") that the child needs to complete before they get rewarded with access to their apps
- The child receives a notification on his or her phone with the assigned chore, and upon completion, sends a photo through the app as "proof,". Once the parent approves the completed chore based from the photo the child is then rewarded with screen time
- Blackout times can also be set for specific times of day, like during designated dinner or homework times
"We have taken the 'technology time-out' method that we use in our own household and turned it into an app," said Isaac Gredinberg, Co-founder and President of GOYA-Move. "We hope GOYA-Move is a tool that will be adopted by parents and tech companies around the world to combat cell phone addiction in children and promote Digital Health & Wellbeing."
The app offers a subscription-based pricing model dependent upon the number of child devices connected to a parent account to suit families of all sizes. Pricing ranges from $1.99/month for (1) child device and $2.99/month for (2) child devices to $3.99/month for (3) child devices and $4.99/month for (4)+ child devices.
GOYA-Move, with the new function of Chores, uses the latest encryption technology and security policies to ensure all data remains private and secure. The app does not have any advertising on either interface and will never sell its users' information to a third party.
GOYA-Move is a Proud National Sponsor of National PTA, supporting grants to local PTAs and schools across the country in the 2019 school year as part of the association's Healthy Lifestyles initiative.
The app is now available for download on most iOS devices (iPhone 5s and newer models, iPads and will be available for Android devices (Android system 4.4 and newer updates) soon.
