Grand Solmar Timeshare Announces the Official Start of Whale-Watching Season
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (PRWEB) December 31, 2014 -- Generally, from November through April, the grey and humpback whales venture south to the warm waters off Baja California south. Officially, whale-watching season began December 15th 2014. During the winter months, the waters off Los Cabos are teaming with whales, and whale-watching tours are booked with visitors snapping pictures and viewing the breaching whales. Los Cabos and the Baja waters in general are popular for whales due to the warm temperature. Whales birth calves in several well protected bays along both coasts of the Baja and in these waters is where the whales develop and learn to breach. Thus, the scene from several Los Cabos Resorts, and from tour boats, is wonderful to experience.
Grand Solmar Timeshare strongly recommends visitors plan a whale watching tour. A tour on one of Cabos many whale watching expeditions, snorkeling or even sunset cruises, are bound to yield a beautiful view of a pod of whales. One of the most amazing things about Los Cabos is that visitors are able to see these whales from the beach. Visitors can view breaching baby and mother whales from the comfort of their hotel room or villa. There are also several excellent spots at Grand Solmar to enjoy a cocktail or a meal while watching the spectacular show the whales put on.
Depending on how close visitors wish to be, there are tours that are on zodiac, or quicker boats, which can get visitors within reach of these beautiful creatures. Other more leisurely tours, like the sunset cruises on any of the wonderful Cabo tour companies, are much more relaxed and offer cruising tours to enjoy the sunset and spot the whales from afar.
For visitors who may wish to steer clear of a night or afternoon on the water, a walk on the beach can yield a whale watching session as they often come within 30 yards of the shore. The waters off of Los Cabos are quite deep, on the Pacific coast especially. Once into the water, the depth can drop to hundreds of feet rapidly. Thus, the water is the perfect place for the curious whales to take a look at all of the spectators on the beach as well.
Whale watching in Los Cabos is a wonderful experience and one that Grand Solmar Timeshare knows will be a crowd favorite.
