Entrepreneur and bestselling author Grant Cardone recently hosted a mentor workshop for students from Sports Leadership Arts and Management (SLAM) Sports Medicine Academy, a tuition-free, public charter school based in Boca Raton.
AVENTURA, Fla., June 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cardone, who started his own national nonprofit foundation to help youths in the communities reach their fullest potential, had invited the SLAM students to his 10X Headquarters in Aventura where they were served lunch and attended a mentoring workshop.
"It is a pleasure to provide these financial literacy workshops to young adults," said Sheri Hamilton, Chairwoman of the Grant Cardone Foundation. "SLAM has done an amazing job of making their specialized curriculum available to at-risk youth. That is precisely the mission of the Grant Cardone Foundation: To bring financial education to those who would not otherwise have it. We are on a mission to make some serious change for the underserved youth in our community."
During the workshop, Cardone focused on teaching the students important skills such as goal setting, entrepreneurship, professional attitude, and investing in themselves.
Each student in attendance was also given a copy of his bestselling book, "The 10X Rule." Cardone, a Miami resident, started his foundation in 2017. It came as a result of Cardone losing his father at age 10. He holds about one youth workshop every two months.
Cardone said growing up without a father figure in his life affected him in many ways, including emotionally, socially and academically — so he has made it his mission to help young adults, who may need life and career guidance just as he once did.
