Grant Stone footwear is made with a Goodyear-welt construction, which allows multiple resoles to ensure a long life and creates a sustainable product that can be worn for years to come. The construction involves a leather welt that becomes an attach point to connect the upper to the insole. The insole is a thick piece of vegetable-tanned leather that will conform to the wearer's foot over time, developing into a personal orthotic. Underneath this insole is a corkbed to allow an impression and reduce impact. A steel shank is found in the corkbed to support the arch, ensuring the shoe will not collapse over time.
Every component of Grant Stone shoes, from the upper leathers to linings, is sourced from boutique tanneries worldwide and each of the four newest styles are made to accommodate four major foot shapes comfortably:

Reverse Kudu (wild Antelope) is tanned in England and has the feel of soft suede with the strength and weight of robust work leather. - Diesel Boot / Dark Burgundy Kudu - Constructed on Grant Stone's Leo last, the Diesel Boot reduces foot fatigue through proper support and stability. Made with antelope leather, this boot is full of character offering a soft touch and heavier weight.
- Ottawa Boot / Natural Minerva - Introducing the vegetable tanned leather from Italy's Carlo Badalassi Tannery. This leather is a blank canvas that will darken and age over time. The upper and leather outsole combination is a make-up for the leather aficionado.
