Granted.com Confident About Increases in Hiring through 2013
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- According to the National Employment Report released by the United States Department of Labor, the economy added 148,000 total nonfarm jobs in September with the addition of 126,000 private-sector jobs, which makes a total of more than 7.6 million new private-sector jobs over the last 43 consecutive months of growth. Additionally, the monthly unemployment report indicated a decrease to 7.2%. These numbers are reflected on job aggregation site Granted.com, where nonfarm industry jobs are increasing throughout 2013. Additionally the finance news story featured on Yahoo News indicated that “the September jobs report showed that some higher-paying industries added jobs at a healthy pace.” Construction companies added 20,000, transportation and warehousing gained 23,400 jobs, and governments added 22,000 jobs.
"Although the report is behind schedule, this data is reflective of economic growth," said Harrison Barnes, Chief Executive Officer at Granted, a job-aggregation and recruiting site. "With the unemployment numbers inching downward, along with the addition of private sector jobs, we will continue to see job gains and momentum build in all sectors, especially in the construction and transportation sectors."
Market research conducted on the Granted site indicated the following construction jobs are available throughout the U.S. in the following categories: Civil Engineering (8,100), Management (6,700), Construction, (4,200) and Environmental (665). The transportation sector indicates more than 166,000 available opportunities in Hospitality (28,000), Trucking (22,000), Food Service (21,400), Engineering (13,800), Customer Service (12,800) and Administration (6,700). With more than 90,000 jobs published in the last two weeks, the trend in transportation and construction opportunities is echoed and emerging on the Granted site.
"This is encouraging—this latest news release reinforces the employment trends that we are seeing," said Barnes. "We are seeing increases across the spectrum, which is welcome news for those who are searching for jobs. This sector is stable and growing, resulting in strong numbers in these higher-paying industries."
