This immense river houses giant, aggressive and monstrous fish species that many are still unaware of. The competition, the intense fishing between human beings and aquatic beings, will be held on this great Amazon. On one side, men equipped with baits and knowledge, on the other side fish equipped with their instincts and physical abilities that survived the great nature since ancient times. Giant fishes like the Piraíba, which can weigh more than 100 kilograms, will be present in the fishing. In the history of fishing there are still no official records of Piraíba caught with artificial bait.
The rule of the competition is to confront species of giant fish, aggressive fish and monstrous fish with the use of artificial baits. That's because artificial bait is considered as the most honest equipment among fishermen. During the 7-day period, fishermen gathered from around the world will challenge 6 types of fish from 4 categories, such as the peacock bass Tucunaré, Pirarucu the world's largest scale fish, and Piraíba the largest fish of the Amazon. The elite anglers who survive this severe 7-day struggle will deserve to be known as authentic all-arounders of the Amazon River. And the angler who wins the competition will receive the official title of 'Amazon Fishing Master', the top of Amazon fishing.

The competition is more than just fishing.
The equipment used to fight the giant, aggressive and monstrous fish will also be attractions of the event. If we compare the Amazon Rally with the famous Dakar Rally, the Amazon River replaces the Sahara Desert, the fishing equipment replaces the rally cars and the fishermen replace the drivers. Which tackle will the professionals of each country use to confront the giants of the Amazon? The water monsters are strong and elusive, easily avoiding or breaking the fishers' gear. The requirements are high in terms of handling, durability, heat resistance, easy maintenance and so on. There is also the artificial baits, chosen with all the care from the innumerable options that will be used to fight the giants.
Like the Mitsubishi Pajero (driven by Dakar Rally Champion Kenjiro Shinozuka), Lancia Stratos and Audi Quattro entered the rally, we will be attentive to the fishing equipment that will bring glory to the competition.

The aspects that make the Amazon Fishing Rally a unique event
1. A competition with a variety and originality that only the Amazon River can propose
The competition will be based on fishing 6 types of fish including the largest freshwater fish in the world: Pirarucu and Piraíba. It will be the first competition in the world to include 6 types of fish. The inclusion of 2 of the largest existing fish makes this competition even more special.
2. All fish should be fished with artificial baits
The participants will have the opportunity to conquer an achievement never seen: to fish the giant Piraíba with artificial bait. It will be a brutal fishing between the man and the emperor of the Amazon River.
