Current Alpharetta Chamber members will automatically become members of the Greater North Fulton Chamber
ALPHARETTA, Ga., July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Greater North Fulton Chamber (GNFCC) is proud to announce the creation of the newly formed Alpharetta Business Council (ABC) following the dissolution of Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce.
This move marks a strategic and forward-looking shift designed to strengthen business support in Alpharetta while reducing financial and operational redundancies for local businesses. Current Alpharetta Chamber members will automatically become full members of the Greater North Fulton Chamber effective July 1, 2025.
"This is a significant step forward for the Alpharetta business community," said Kali Boatright, President & CEO of GNFCC. "The new Alpharetta Business Council will ensure that Alpharetta's unique identity and business culture are preserved, while also giving members access to the full suite of benefits and resources offered by a 5-Star Accredited Chamber."
As part of this transition:
-All prior members of the Alpharetta Chamber will now become GNFCC members, enjoying comprehensive benefits, including advocacy, regional visibility, and access to events and programs.
-These members, along with any GNFCC member with an Alpharetta business license, will also automatically become members of the NEW Alpharetta Business Council, gaining access to exclusive programming and events tailored specifically to Alpharetta businesses.
-Businesses will benefit from cost savings, as there will no longer be a need to maintain memberships or sponsorships with two separate organizations.
This move follows the successful 2020 launch of the Milton Business Council under the GNFCC umbrella and is modeled on the same collaborative structure—one that provides professional chamber support while celebrating local business identity and leadership.
To maintain strong local engagement, an Alpharetta Business Council Transition Board has been established, and Mary Trachian-Bradley, an attorney with Briskin, Cross and Sandford, will serve as its first chair. "It's an honor for the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce to unify with the Greater North Fulton Chamber and create one shared commitment to build a stronger, more vibrant business community that drives our city's progress—together," said Trachian-Bradley. Nominations for 2026 ABC Board positions will open in the fall, and local business leaders are encouraged to step forward to help shape the Council's future.
"We're excited about the formation of the Alpharetta Business Council and the opportunity to work within GNFCC to grow our local economy," said Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin. "This partnership ensures that Alpharetta businesses continue to thrive with the dedicated support and leadership they deserve."
The GNFCC brings extensive infrastructure, experienced staff, and a region-wide perspective to the table. Combined with the passion and energy of the Alpharetta business community, the formation of the Alpharetta Business Council is a win for everyone involved.
