Green Lawn Fertilizing / Green Pest Solutions Wins the 2017 Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Excellence Award for Customer Service

2017 marks the 35th Annual Excellence Awards by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. They are holding an Award Ceremony on November 9th, 2017 to officially recognize ten businesses in the greater Philadelphia region that stand out from the crowd by demonstrating unique vision, innovation and achievement in support of the region’s economy and small business community. Among the ten award categories were small business person of the year, manufacturer of the year, strategic growth excellence of the year, technological excellence of the year and of course customer service excellence of the year for which Green Lawn Fertilizing / Green Pest Solutions was deemed the winner.
The award winners were determined by a panel of members from the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. The panel whittled down the hundreds of candidates for each category down to three finalists. Each finalist had to send a representative to The Chamber of Commerce in Center City Philadelphia to make a case for why they should be the winners. Green lawn Fertilizing sent their Marketing Manager, Ben Schloss.
Ben came into the Chamber for the company’s interview expecting two or three people from the Chamber to ask him a few questions. To his surprise when he entered the interview room there were about 40 people gathered around a large table, clapping for Green Lawn Fertilizing / Green Pest Solution’s nomination. Despite being taken back from number of his interviewers Ben calmly answered questions and laid out the reasons for why the company was deserving of the award. He explained how important its strict hiring practices and maintaining a professional image at all times is to the company and how far the company will go to please a customer. He also echoed something to the chamber that he has told every employee at Green Lawn Fertilizing & Green Pest Solutions to tell prospective customers, “Google us.”
