NJ LEEP's mission is to empower middle and high school students in the Newark area of New Jersey with both the academic and social-emotional skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond. Greenberg Traurig New Jersey and Kierkut have partnered with NJ LEEP for many years, including hosting students for the summer Week on the Job Program for incoming high school sophomores, participating in mentoring events throughout the year, and sponsoring its fundraising efforts.
Kierkut is a strong advocate for women's advancement in law and has been honored for her leadership in this area by a variety of organizations. She is a past president of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and is an active member of the National Association for Women Lawyers. Kierkut also co-chairs Greenberg Traurig New Jersey's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, which engages in active programming for Greenberg Traurig lawyers, staff, clients, and the New Jersey legal community.
