Barbara Meili, vice chair of the Global Entertainment & Media Practice of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, co-chair of the Sports Business Industry Group, and chair of the New York Entertainment & Media Practice, has been named to the 15th class of Sports Business Journal's "Game Changers: Women in Sports Business."
NEW YORK, June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Barbara Meili, vice chair of the Global Entertainment & Media Practice of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, co-chair of the Sports Business Industry Group, and chair of the New York Entertainment & Media Practice, has been named to the 15th class of Sports Business Journal's "Game Changers: Women in Sports Business."
This annual award honors women who have played pivotal roles across the sports industry, bringing new ideas and leadership to their fields. Meili will be recognized at the "Game Changers: Women in Sports Business" conference held Sept. 24-25 and in Sports Business Journal's Sept. 15 edition.
Meili advises sports and media clients—including the New England Sports Network, SportsNet Pittsburgh, NHL Network, YES Network, and the Baltimore Orioles—on licensing, distribution, sponsorship and other corporate transactions. Over the past year, she advised the Baltimore Orioles in negotiating a lease extension for Oriole Park at Camden Yards and a jersey patch and sponsorship agreement with T. Rowe Price, provided ongoing legal support to NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh, and assisted YES Network in renewing major distribution agreements.
Meili is also committed to mentoring women attorneys, several of whom now serve in-house at programming companies such as A&E Networks, Hallmark, and AMC Networks.
