The team joins Greenberg Traurig from Orozco Waters Abogados, S.C., where Orozco Waters was the founder. The associates are Victor Felipe Callarisa Rivera, Alfonso Malagón Lozano, Edgar Fernando Orozco Ceballos and José Manuel López Castro.

At Greenberg Traurig, Orozco Waters is a member of the Corporate Practice and represents clients in public and private infrastructure and financing projects, as well as foreign investment transactions in Mexico’s infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, financial, and commercial sectors. He represented the Mexican federal government in the securitization of several funds and assets through the Mexican Stock Exchange, as well as the issuance of catastrophic bonds through the World Bank. Orozco Waters regularly advises state and municipal governments in their financing transactions and has been involved in many of the largest state-debt restructurings and refinancings in Mexico, having advised commercial and development banks and states. He also has broad experience in M&A transactions involving the financial sector and other regulated industries.
Orozco Waters holds an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, and a Law Degree from Escuale Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. He is admitted to practice in Mexico and New York.

Callarisa Rivera is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice, who has more than 12 years of experience in corporate law. He focuses his practice on capital markets, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions and refinancing. He has experience working on sophisticated corporate and financial transactions for both governmental and non-governmental entities in Mexico and abroad. Callarisa Rivera holds a Law Degree, with honors, from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. He is admitted in Mexico.
Malagón Lozano is part of the Banking & Finance Practice, where he represents companies, as well as local and federal government entities, in corporate and financial structuring transactions. He holds a Law Degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe. He is admitted in Mexico.
Orozco Ceballos is a member of the Banking & Finance Practice, who focuses his practice on public contracts, and state and municipal financing. He received a Law Degree, with honors, from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. He is admitted in Mexico.
López Castro joins the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice, where he focuses his practice on banking and financial transactions, securities, corporate matters, and administrative law. He has advised clients in corporate restructurings, financings, public-private partnerships, and financial compliance as well as debt and equity capital markets transactions. He holds a Law Degree and Specialization in Commercial Law Entities from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico. He is admitted in Mexico.
