Greenberg Traurig’s Greg Sperla Spoke at the 2017 Prop 65 Conference
(PRWEB) October 04, 2017 -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Greg Sperla spoke at the 2017 Prop 65 Conference in San Francisco on Sept. 25. Held in the Julia Morgan Ballroom of the Merchants Exchange Building, Sperla participated on the panel, “Listings of Controversial Chemicals: How Successful are Court Challenges?,” which discussed the chemicals that may be listed in the future and the regulated communities’ options concerning them. The firm was a premier sponsor of the event.
Hosted by Prop 65 Clearinghouse, the 12th annual conference brought together more than 150 people from businesses, trade associations, government, and law firms. The program gave attendees insight into how Prop 65 affects their businesses and clients through a variety of expert panels. Sperla is an associate in the firm’s Sacramento office, representing businesses and trade associations on regulatory compliance, litigation, and government affairs. He regularly works with national consumer product companies on California and federal compliance issues, including product safety, product registration, labeling, claims/marketing and licensing, among other areas. Sperla also litigates related cases brought under California’s many consumer and environmental protection laws, including Prop 65, the false advertising law, the unfair competition law and slack-fill, in addition to class action and general commercial litigation. He has represented clients in a number of industries, including food, drug, supplement, cosmetic, apparel, and industrial equipment. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and his B.A. from San Francisco State University.
