Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been recognized as one of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's (MCCA) 2022 Rainmakers in the United States.
MIAMI, June 28, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been recognized as one of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's (MCCA) 2022 Rainmakers in the United States.
Davis is among 15 diverse attorneys selected by MCCA for their outstanding legal work and community focus. Rainmakers have achieved success through innovative, consistent, and proactive business development, according to the association's website. The award celebrates lawyers for their diversity of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and generational differences, as well as diversity in their practice areas. The 2022 rainmakers were selected from a group of lawyers whose annual billings exceeded $5 million over the past three years and who have contributed significantly to their communities.
As Miami co-managing shareholder, Davis oversees approximately 170 attorneys and 200 business staff based in the firm's founding office. He focuses his corporate and securities practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and large financings. Most of his clients are technology players in a variety of areas including information technology, life sciences/biotech and renewable energy sources. He has represented clients on transactions totaling $11 billion in the past five years and has handled approximately $17 billion in deals over his career.

He serves on the board of directors for City National Bank, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, The Miami Foundation, and is a co-founder and general counsel of the eMerge Americas global technology conference. He also is a former chair of Nicklaus Children's Hospital and the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the county's economic development arm. In this role at Beacon, Davis led a local bid to obtain Amazon's HQ2 headquarters, which resulted in Miami being selected as a finalist.
MCCA will honor the 2022 rainmakers at its Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference on Oct. 17-19 at the New York Marriott Marquis and at its Diversity Gala on Oct. 19 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
