Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will sponsor the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Dallas-Fort Worth’s Silver Symposium on April 29, 2021. The event will comprise both in-person attendance and virtual content. It will feature presentations given by Greenberg Traurig’s Dallas office Shareholders Jerry Fellows and Jordan Cowman, made in dual tracks at 10:15 a.m. CDT.

Fellows, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, will give a presentation alongside Vizient, Inc., a healthcare performance improvement company, Senior Counsel Robin Bradford titled “Intellectual Property (IP) Due Diligence – Overcoming Obfuscation and Finding Overvalued IP Assets in Mergers & Acquisitions.” Fellows prepares and implements intellectual property protection and enforcement strategies that help clients achieve their business goals. His practice includes clearing, acquiring and enforcing United States and foreign patent rights, particularly for enterprise and process software, Internet and business methods, biomedical technologies including cardiac laser systems and therapeutic ultrasound systems, alternative energy innovations, sustainable technologies, and electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical technologies. Fellows also has experience patenting material science innovations, including superconducting materials and systems, electromagnetic containment systems, complex electronic and mechanical systems and processes, and energy storage systems.

Cowman, who is co-chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice’s International Employment, Immigration & Workforce Strategies group, will give a presentation titled “Top 10 Ethics Concerns for In-House Counsel.” A long-time U.S. business representative to the United Nations’ International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland, Cowman is sought by businesses when issues arise concerning international and cross-border employment matters, corporate social responsibility, international corporate campaigns, and other international labor and employment matters that arise. He has assisted clients with business combinations, merger and acquisition due diligence, and has advised clients on supply chain issues and the eradication of forced labor.
