- On May 2, Shareholder Nataliya Rymer and Associate Miriam C. Thompson will discuss recent changes in verifying employee identity and work authorization, as the pandemic brought a series of temporary rules for employers and temporary flexibilities for the Form I-9. Rymer and Thompson will review a history of the I-9, its requirements, and the shifting verification process, as well as methods for navigating the current process.

- On May 4, Shareholders Dillon R. Colucci and Agnes Cha Rudinsky will discuss the just-closed FY2024 H-1B visa petition process. There are a limited numbers of these work visas and this year's selection process yielded fewer approvals than expected. Colucci and Rudinsky will examine a brief history of the H-1B selection process, parse trends to date, and detangle where things stand today – as well as what other global alternatives may exist for employers and employees this year.
