Greenberg Traurig's Liz Dudek Receives Florida Assisted Living Association's 2021 Sid Rosenblatt Excellence in Leadership Award
Liz Dudek, director of Health Care Affairs in the Tallahassee office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., received the Florida Assisted Living Association's (FALA) 2021 Sid Rosenblatt Excellence in Leadership Award on Aug. 4 during a virtual presentation.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Liz Dudek, director of Health Care Affairs in the Tallahassee office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., received the Florida Assisted Living Association's (FALA) 2021 Sid Rosenblatt Excellence in Leadership Award on Aug. 4 during a virtual presentation.
The annual award, designed to honor Sid Rosenblatt, one of FALA's founding members, is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities within the assisted living industry as well as within the community. The award is the highest level of recognition presented by FALA.
Dudek is the first Sid Rosenblatt Excellence in Leadership Award recipient who was not a facility owner/operator or a FALA staff or member.
The Florida Assisted Living Association is the oldest assisted living association in the state. It has provided advocacy, education, and regulatory support for its members for more than 25 years. FALA is the largest state association representing more than 650 assisted living facilities and adult family care homes and nearly 300 associate members who provide products and services to assisted living.

As director of Health Care Affairs, Dudek is part of the firm's state and national Health & FDA Business Practice as well as the Government Law & Policy Practice. She helps the firm's clients navigate the healthcare system, interact with agencies, and better understand legislative affairs and their accompanying issues. Her career in Florida's state government spanned over 40 years across a variety of senior management positions including Secretary of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Deputy Secretary of Health Quality Assurance. As AHCA Secretary, Dudek oversaw one of the largest Medicaid programs in the nation. Under her administration, the Agency successfully implemented the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program and established the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. She has decades of experience working with health care facilities, providers, and insurers.
