MIAMI, April 27, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The second stop on the National Judicial College (NJC)'s 60th anniversary tour, "JUSTICE FOR ALL…Upholding the Rule of Law," is taking place April 27 in Miami and follows the NJC's successful debut event, "Celebrating a Diverse Judiciary," Jan. 19 in Los Angeles.
"These events are so much more than a celebration of six decades of educating judges. Looking at who is being honored and their historic achievements, these events demonstrate the growth of the NJC and of the judiciary in terms of gender and ethnic diversity and beyond," said Founding Shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Las Vegas office Mark G. Tratos, who is also co-chair of the NJC's 60th Anniversary Committee and past chair of its Board of Trustees.
NJC is celebrating with six special, themed programs coast to coast. The remaining anniversary programs will be held later this year as follows:
Healing and Restoring Our Community: Seattle | July 20
Being Heard and Ensuring Fairness: New York | Sept. 28
60 Years of Making the World a More Just Place: Las Vegas | Dec. 7
There will also be a program in October in Reno, Nevada, home to the NJC. Greenberg Traurig is a major sponsor of the anniversary events.
"At its founding, the NJC membership did not often include woman and diverse individuals, mirroring many organizations in the United States. The NJC's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion 'in all that we do in order to engage the judiciary in fulfilling its role of providing equal justice under law' is central to its mission to 'make the world a more just place by educating and inspiring its judiciary'," Tratos said.
In Miami, five individuals will be honored:
