“The unprecedented disruption caused by COVID-19 has drastically changed the in-demand skills needed to thrive in the new economy and build a successful career,” said Charles Westrin, Co-Managing Director, Pearson Online Learning Services.

GreenFig, a market-driven education company that partners with universities to offer turnkey digital skills certificate courses for “codeless professionals”, today announced that eight new continuing education university partners will begin offering their courses in areas such as Digital Marketing Science and Sales Operations Science this fall. The addition of these universities effectively doubles the rate of GreenFig’s partner growth since the beginning of the year.

GreenFig programs are in high demand because, according to U.S. labor data, there are seven times more professionals in “codeless” occupations such as digital marketing, sales, and business operations than in jobs that require technology skills such as coding or computer systems design. The technical know-how and experience to manage today’s most powerful cloud-computing software applications, are necessary in today's workforce. This has never been more important than in the wake of COVID-19, where businesses are forced to go online and digital skills have become a necessity to survive.

These are the types of modern workplace skills that GreenFig delivers by empowering universities to provide turnkey skill development programs in applied business sciences. With GreenFig, adult learners and working professionals build work-ready digital skills and earn industry-recognized credentials from companies such as Salesforce, Google, and HubSpot, as well as a university-branded certificate of completion or academic credit.

Some of the new GreenFig partners include:

Additionally, GreenFig will partner with global education leader Pearson to distribute its innovative 10-week certificate courses in Digital Marketing Science and Sales Operations Science. As part of Pearson Advance, the marketplace for alternative credentials and short courses, the GreenFig partnership enhances the career-oriented certificate and new business model offerings.

“The unprecedented disruption caused by COVID-19 has drastically changed the in-demand skills needed to thrive in the new economy and build a successful career,” said Charles Westrin, Co-Managing Director, Pearson Online Learning Services. “Through our partnership with GreenFig, we are providing workers with shorter, high-impact learning opportunities that will allow them to keep upskilling and reskilling without disrupting their career.”

“We are very excited by the growth that these new partnerships and platforms represent for our company,” said Sara Leoni, CEO of GreenFig. “But even more than that, we are thrilled that these outstanding universities and education providers will create new opportunities for countless more students and workplace professionals, improving lives and helping local economies.”

Currently, these schools are accepting rolling admission beginning on September 8, 2020. For more information: please visit http://www.greenfig.com.
