Greenstar Helps Customers “Green It Up” with HERO Financing Program
Orange County, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2015 -- In the latest effort to better serve their Orange County, California customer base, Greenstar Home Services unveils a partnership with the Home Energy Renovation Opportunity (HERO) Financing Program. Greenstar is a leading provider of green and eco-friendly plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services.
Greenstar aims to provide green, energy efficient solutions to their clients. This partnership brings new opportunities to both commercial and residential property owners.

The HERO Program exists in communities to allow home improvements to be paid for on one’s property tax assessment as a fixed asset on a house. The improvements do meet public policy goals in terms of reducing energy and water consumption, dropping utility bills, as well as creating jobs and economic activity around home improvements.
HERO has developed consumer protections around the financing program. All contractors must:
- Be licensed with the state
- Obtain all required permits
- Meet fair pricing standards
- Use products certified as efficient by the U.S. Department of Energy
- Install products certified as water conserving by the Environmental Protection Agency
- Only receive payment when the homeowner signs off that the job has been successfully completed
In an extra effort to protect the elderly, HERO provides an extra level of outreach to ensure seniors understand every aspect of the process. The organization also provides ongoing dispute resolution services for all customers. This is in line with Greenstar’s existing Senior Rewards Program.
