I love holding these concerts. It’s a great way to get forget about being homebound, take a break from homeschooling, or have some background music while working from home. It’s also a reminder that no one is alone — we’re all in this together.
DETROIT (PRWEB) May 04, 2020
Gregory Poulos, co-founder of Profits Run, announced his 3rd Quarantine concert will take place this Tuesday, May 5. Poulos established these internet based concerts to provide fun entertainment to anyone looking for live music fun. Poulos’ free concert aims to bring his community together and give people something light-hearted and fun to do while they’re still homebound, in quarantine.
In an article, Poulos said, “I love holding these concerts. Because they’re live, people are encouraged to gather, chat, and take a moment out of their day to just enjoy some music. It’s a great way to get forget about being homebound, take a break from homeschooling, or have some background music while working from home. It’s also a reminder that no one is alone — we’re all in this together.”
The upcoming concert is scheduled for May 5th at 3 – 4 pm EDT, and will be hosted on Facebook Live, free of charge. Poulos has held several of these Facebook Live concerts and plans to do so weekly. The Greg Poulos Music events page issued the invite, “Please join us as award-winning songwriter Greg Poulos thrills us with original & obscure folk, Americana, and country music!” Poulos performs with rare vintage guitars to give his concert an additional fun and old-school atmosphere.
Poulos was a founding member for several blues and bluegrass bands, including Miles Out, Whiskey & Rye, Poulos Fuerst Overdrive, and Catfish Gracie. In 2002, Poulos recorded and released his first album of original songs titled Change Your Life. Poulos has also used his experience in marketing to support other musicians to host FB live concerts. When asked about playing music for a “crowd” again, Poulos commented, “I really enjoy performing again after a long hiatus away from the real stage.”
Greg Poulos has extensive professional experience in technology and marketing. He was an early online adopter within the BBS scene of the 1980’s, and he worked for several dot-com startups in the 1990s. Greg Poulos co-founded Profits Run with his father, Bill Poulos, in 2001. At Profits Run, Poulos is responsible for operations, marketing, and strategic direction.
COVID-19 is a respiratory illness with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and difficulty breathing. Because the disease is highly contagious, many businesses have been forced to close or drastically change how they operate. At the time of writing, the USA has over a million confirmed cases.
Greg Poulos and Profits Run are dedicated to helping others, not only through musical entertainment and the products and programs the company offers but also through community outreach. In this unprecedented time of need due to COVID-19, Profits Run recently secured and donated 1,000 masks to a New York hospital in critical need of personal protective equipment (PPE). Poulos shared, “If you would also like to donate masks to a hospital in need, please contact us and we can share our PPE supplier’s information. I look forward to you joining us tomorrow, May 5th at 3 – 4 pm EDT, for free music and a little lighthearted fun. See you then!”
