HOUSTON, Jan. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Griesenbeck Architectural Products, Inc. (Griesenbeck) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Diamond Level in Safety from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Safety Training & Evaluation Process (STEP). Founded in 1989, STEP participation highlights safety leadership and a cultural commitment to increasing safety awareness and performance in the workplace. STEP Diamond is the highest level of achievement under this evaluation process.
According to ABC's annual Safety Performance Report, applying STEP processes dramatically improves safety performance among participants regardless of company size or type of work, and can reduce recordable incidents up to 85%.
In order to achieve the Diamond Award, Griesenbeck had to measure up to 24 key components over a five-year period, which included an EMR rating at or below 0.70 and an incident rate at least 50 percent below the National Bureau of Labor Statistics average.
"I am very proud of the team effort it has taken to implement this culture of safety. Our people are the most important asset of our company. It is one of our top priorities to insure they can execute work in a safe environment," states President, Tanner Spears.
By implementing proactive safety measures, such as toolbox talks, quarterly stand-downs and sound substance abuse policies, Griesenbeck continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to excellence in the workplace and to its employees. It is truly a company committed to consistently raising the bar when it comes to safety performance.
