Grit.org Off To a Fast Start and Making a Huge Impact - 2021 Mid Year Update
Grit.org, founded in January of 2020, represents a variety of companies including a domain and website brokerage firm GritBrokerage.com, GritUniversity.com - a summer internship program designed to teach life and entrepreneurial skills to college age students, and GritCamp.com - a summer sports camp created to Build More Grit in elementary and middle school aged students.

Grit University just finished an exceptional 2021 summer program with returning intern Colby Harris who lived in the Grit.org headquarters with a daily routine of working out, eating healthy, meditating, journaling, reading motivational books, running Grit Camp, and selling corporate sponsorships. Colby received a weekly salary and profit sharing and far surpassed his 2020 summer income of $6,000 by increasing his profit this summer to $10,000. Colby will be joining the Grit.org staff full-time this Fall and helping launch many exciting new initiatives.
Grit Camp just completed its 2nd summer of building more mental, physical, and emotional resilience in young people through sports. In 6 weeks of camp, Grit Camp hosted 281 campers led by 24 different high school age counselors, 3 of which are Division I athletes (Watch our video!). The camp is centered around 12 principles from their Grit Creed designed to teach and implement time tested life and success principles and reinforced by guest speakers ranging from a 7 year NFL veteran to a World Champion surfer. Counselors earn service hours or hourly pay and can also earn profit sharing for working at the camp for the 6 week span. Grit Camp reached just under $60,000 in gross sales - of which nearly $25,000 was paid out to the high school and college age counselors that helped run it and over $12,000 went to local restaurants that catered the lunches. Additionally, this summer Grit Camp introduced a scholarship based program offering free camp to 15 local campers paid for by generous individual and corporate sponsors including CSI, Cady Realty, and Novus Architects.
