As part of States Title, I hope to bring valuable insight to help advise and guide our membership on how best to leverage technological advancements in a way that enhances our ability to do right by the people who are our customers.

Alex A. Grundhoffer, Minnesota division president for North American Title Co. (NATC), was installed as president of the Minnesota Land Title Association (MLTA) on Aug. 10 at the organization’s annual meeting.

“One of the primary challenges our members face is adjusting our business models and processes to an environment that is advancing quickly,” said Grundhoffer. “As part of States Title, I hope to bring valuable insight to help advise and guide our membership on how best to leverage technological advancements in a way that enhances our ability to do right by the people who are our customers.”

Grundhoffer has spent more than half of his life in the title industry. Currently, he is in charge of NATC’s statewide network of 16 locations in Minnesota.

Growing up in Montgomery, Minnesota, he started working for Title Protection, Inc. as a summer job in 1992. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Drake University, he returned to the company and opened the first office in the Twin Cities area in 1995. When Title Protection, Inc. was acquired by NATC, Alex took on the role of escrow operations manager, followed by director of business development, a position he held until assuming his current duties in 2014.

MLTA was formed in 1908 as a professional association interested in securing the integrity of land titles throughout the state of Minnesota. Its membership includes professionals who provide abstracts of title, title insurance and related services to the real estate and lending industries.
