GTA Tech Leaders’ Concert Series Presents Mo’ Funk, Rock & Soul
Toronto (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- Executives and supporters from the technology sector in the GTA, including Intelex and Clio, are proudly participating in the Movember Foundation’s annual Movember campaign. Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world.
On Wednesday, November 19, bands from the local tech community – tech executive ensemble band Bucket List along with the Kings of Strachan from Intelex – and Juno-nominated God Made Me Funky will be taking part in the GTA Tech Leaders’ Concert Series: Mo’ Funk, Rock & Soul. The event will be emceed by CBC’s Talia Schlanger, and include senior executives and entrepreneurs from the technology sector as well as local celebrities and Movember Canada leadership.
Held at The Phoenix Concert Theatre (410 Sherbourne St.), with doors opening at 7PM, ticket proceeds will go towards efforts to help raise awareness for men’s health.
This concert is part of an ongoing large scale fundraising series created and sponsored by senior technology executives in the GTA in support of great causes. Previous concerts have supported the Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Sick Kid’s Foundation.
The Movember Foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health. Once signed up on Movember.com, men (Mo Bros) grow and women (Mo Sistas), support a moustache for the 30 days of November, getting friends and family to donate to their moustache growing efforts.
The Movember community has raised over $574 million, and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries to date. This work benefits the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues.
