Guidance, a full-service ecommerce agency driving business for retailers, brands and manufactures, was enlisted by Benefit Cosmetics for a replatforming project that included the migration of dozens of localized websites across five continents, deploying a content block solution that simplifies content management and allows for easy product updates across multiple languages. The project goal was to ultimately centralize the management of their sites within one Episerver application, increase customer engagement and enhance their reputation as the #1 brow brand worldwide.

With multiple websites in dozens of countries, content management had become a huge priority for Benefit. The new Episerver solution now includes multi-language content presentations across 42 websites within one instance of Episerver.

“Partnering with Benefit's in-house design and development teams, Guidance created custom blocks within Episerver allowing content admins to create the front-end without coding. They are now able to choose blocks to display and manage languages within a centralized interface,” said Meugniot.

With additional plugins and integrations, and updated URL structuring, Benefit now has a more efficient and engaging system in place for showcasing products. These complex and flexible content blocks simplify content management and display, increasing the Benefit team's efficiency whenever they decide to change the look and feel of the site.

Guidance and Benefit collaborated to build best-practice workflows, a master library of components, and a style system that would streamline their design process for the future. The result is 42 refreshed and polished global site designs that match the company’s fun and unique aesthetic.
