Gulfsat took full advantage of converting to IP by additionally migrating to SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) for low-latency and secure video delivery. SRT is an open-source video transport protocol that can be used to deliver high-quality, low-latency video across the internet.
Gulfsat was already well versed with WISI's Chameleon Headend Platform for Satellite & IP contribution so when it came time for their IP and SRT project, Gulfsat was confident WISI could provide a solid end-to-end solution. WISI's high-density modular solutions, the Inca IP Video Platform and Tangram Video Platform, were selected for their powerful SRT capabilities to replace the legacy equipment.

Gulfsat is also using WISI's Tangram Video Platform for multiplexing contribution streams before passing them to the Inca Platform for SRT transport.
