Guyana Laboratory is First South American Laboratory to Achieve A2LA ISO 15189:2012 Accreditation
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) October 03, 2017 -- Dr. Balwant Singh’s Hospital, located in Georgetown, Guyana, achieved this globally-recognized laboratory accreditation by successfully completing a rigorous on-site assessment and accreditation process demonstrating that it meets or exceeds the requirements of ISO 15189:2012 Medical Laboratories-Requirements for Quality and Competence, and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) policies required for testing, through an internationally-recognized accreditation body signatory that maintains the high-level ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement obligations.
