Halcyon Software Hires Garrett Schut as Vice President, Sales
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Halcyon Software, a global leader in systems management software, today announced veteran sales professional Garrett Schut has become the new Vice President, Sales. In this role, Schut is responsible for maintaining and expanding the company’s software license and subscription sales with IBM customers, business partners and managed services providers (MSPs) throughout North and South America. Schut is based in Orange County, California and will report to Sean Gallagher, International Sales Director.

A sales professional and former systems engineer, Schut has over 20 years of experience in HA/DR software, modernization application solutions, storage solutions, SaaS and cloud-based systems as well as casino and hospitality systems with major gaming organizations in the US and abroad. Schut was most recently a Business Development Manager, US and Canada at looksoftware where he successfully increased their customer base and built Partnerships with resellers such as MAINLINE and signed many new ISV’s. Previously, Schut was a Senior Account Executive, Infrastructure Solutions, Hospitality Solutions Group where he sold more than $2 million for Agilysys Infrastructure Solutions from IBM Power systems network and storage providers. Earlier, Schut was employed with Lakeview Technology and Vision Solutions Pacific Life Insurance. During his career, Schut has earned numerous IBM, VMWARE, EMC, and Microsoft sales certifications as well as industry credentials and sales accreditations.
Schut serves as Vice President of the Ocean User Group of Southern California Board. He also recently became a member of the Orange County Sheriff Advisory Council and is very active with many programs and charity organizations for the local Orange County community.
Additionally, Cindy Monyek has joined Halcyon as Senior Systems Engineer. Monyek brings a successful track record of more than 20 years of experience in improving processes by developing, refining, and implementing standards, utilizing & developing technology, training, documentation and support services. Monyek joins Halcyon from LiquidHub. Monyek will be working out of Halcyon Software's growing PA office.
