HALO Branded Solutions Announces Spring 2017 Scholarship Winners
Sterling, Illinois (PRWEB) June 16, 2017 -- HALO Branded Solutions is pleased to announce the most recent winners in its semi-annual scholarship competition.
The competition, which is open to high school seniors as well as individuals currently enrolled in college courses, required students to submit a brief essay on marketing-specific topics. This year the students were also asked to submit a mini essay — no more than 100 words — on how their studies have prepared them to think and act like a marketer in their future careers.
Seth Van Matre (El Paso, TX), will receive a $1,500 scholarship as the first place winner. The high school senior plans to attend the University of Texas at El Paso to study communications.
Seton Hall University senior Kristen Berezniak (Brunswick, NJ) finished in second place, earning a $1,000 scholarship to Northwestern University as she prepares to enter graduate school.
Lindsey Randle (Bloomington, IN), a high school senior, won third place and $500 for her submission. Randle plans to attend Indiana University where she will study to become a medical sales rep.
Winners were chosen based on their essay submissions as well as their GPA. HALO Branded Solutions required applicants to carry a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.
Students interested in applying for the next round of the HALO Branded Solutions bi-annual scholarship competition will need to submit at least one letter of recommendation as well as their official transcripts to be considered. All candidates must be legal U.S. residents who are 18 or older at the time of application and currently enrolled in, or accepted into, a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. university.
