Sri Venkateswaran joins as Chief Financial Officer and Alison Wisniewski joins as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, continuing Harbor's investment in senior leadership
CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Harbor, the leading provider of professional and technology services to the legal industry, today announced that Chris Murphy has joined the company as President. Sri Venkateswaran has joined as Chief Financial Officer, and Alison Wisniewski has joined as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. The appointments mark a deliberate step in Harbor's growth journey, following two recent acquisitions and the firm's continued investment in its AI strategy and its expansion across the law firms and corporate legal departments it serves.
All three leaders built their careers in high-growth, global professional services organizations, the same environment Harbor represents today, and arrive with deep legal-industry experience. Murphy previously spent more than two decades scaling delivery, commercial, and regional leadership at Thoughtworks, a leading technology consultancy, while Venkateswaran and Wisniewski join Harbor from established legal services providers Lexitas and Epiq, respectively.
"Chris, Sri, and Alison have each helped scale tech-enabled professional services organizations past the billion-dollar revenue mark, and did it by keeping client service, delivery, finance, talent, and governance moving as one," said Matt Sunderman, Chief Executive Officer of Harbor. "That's the kind of integrated leadership Harbor needs as we write our own next chapter."
Murphy will oversee delivery and go-to-market at Harbor, aligning the firm's approach across the full client lifecycle. He joins Harbor after more than 20 years at Thoughtworks, where he most recently served as Global Chief Revenue and Client Officer and previously led the firm's North America, EMEA, and Asia businesses. During his tenure, Murphy played a central role in scaling Thoughtworks from approximately $100 million to more than $1 billion in revenue. Murphy will bring that same operational discipline to Harbor's end-to-end client experience.
"I've spent my career watching professional services businesses go through exactly this kind of shift, and legal is having its moment now," said Murphy. "Harbor's already doing the hard part, building real depth instead of chasing trends. I wanted to be part of scaling that the right way."
Murphy will be based in New York and will spend time in London supporting Harbor's international growth.
Venkateswaran joins the company as Chief Financial Officer after serving as CFO and Chief Transformation Officer at Lexitas, a legal and litigation services company, where he helped lead financial strategy and performance for a business serving law firms, corporate legal departments, and insurance organizations. Venkateswaran brings more than 20 years of global finance and strategy leadership experience, including serving as Global CFO at Everise, with additional roles at Citigroup, AIG, and Cognizant.
"Finance shouldn't just report on growth; it should help drive it," said Venkateswaran. "My focus is building a finance function that gives our teams the data and insight to make faster, sharper decisions as we scale, with the same discipline that's gotten us here."
Wisniewski joins Harbor as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, overseeing legal and compliance. Previously, she spent more than 15 years at Epiq, where she most recently served as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. Her background spans global legal and compliance leadership, corporate governance, M&A, data privacy, and enterprise risk.
"Governance has to evolve at the same pace as the business," said Wisniewski. "My focus is building the legal and compliance foundation that lets Harbor scale globally without slowing down."
Murphy, Venkateswaran, Wisniewski, and Sunderman are available for media interviews upon request.
