TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Just two months after taking the stage as a finalist in Hard Rock Rising's 97X Next Big Thing: Battle of the Bands at Seminole Hard Rock, Tampa's reigning hard rock band has shot up to take the number one charting position.
The rapidly rising Florida rock trio, made up of 20-year-old twin brothers Sean and John Kamenar and bassist Owen Popper, beat out dozens of other local bands, to top the Tampa Bay Music News' list of Fan Favorite Bands for 2021.
The annual Readers Survey is comprised of hundreds of hardcore music fans from around the Tampa Bay area. As the Tampa Bay Music News states, "We have so many awesome bands here in Tampa, our survey is just a snapshot of pure fan enthusiasm."
The high-energy hard rock band from Tampa has quickly become one of the most talked-about new musical groups in the Sunshine State. Fans and music critics in the indie rock scene haven't been able to get enough of the brothers' unrivaled instrumental skills and killer vocals.
In just the last couple of years, Kamenar has released several singles, including "Never Enough Time' and 'Crazy Life" from their self-titled debut EP, as well as a cover of Pop Evil's "Ways To Get High." And they can often be seen performing throughout Florida at The Orpheum, The Brass Mug, Red Star Live, The Sparkman Wharf and other venues. Upcoming shows include The Slam House (Sarasota) on February 5th and Ruth Eckerd Hall (Tampa) outdoor stage on February 7th.
Kamenar has recently begun working on some new material and plans on releasing another EP in the next few months. The EP is expected to be comprised of four new original songs, along with a new music video.
