Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. Files Lawsuit Following Triathlon Bicycle Accident
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (PRWEB) August 16, 2018 -- Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. filed a complaint August 2, 2018, in the Superior Court of The State of California against USA Productions, LLC; Morgan B. Walford; Joseph Criado; the City of Half Moon Bay; and the County of San Mateo. The complaint filed under case number: 18CIV03985.
Per the complaint, April 22, 2018, plaintiff Elena Warburton was riding her bicycle during a triathlon conducted by USA Productions, LLC in Half Moon Bay. The suit stated at the intersection of South Cabrillo Highway and Kelly Avenue, Ms. Warburton was allegedly hit by a vehicle that was negligently operated by defendant Morgan B. Walford, causing severe injuries to the plaintiff.
The complaint stated, defendants Joseph Criado; the City of Half Moon Bay; the County of San Mateo; USA Productions, LLC; and their employees; controlled the intersection where the accident occurred. The suit alleged their negligence in controlling and directing traffic contributed to the collision that injured Ms. Warburton. The lawsuit also alleged USA Productions, LLC; their employees; failed in their duty to keep the premises in a reasonably safe condition.
Per the complaint, defendant Joseph Criado, an employee of the County of San Mateo and other defendants named in the suit, was directing traffic at the intersection. The lawsuit alleged a dangerous condition was created due to Mr. Criado's negligence, wrongful acts, and/or omissions, and this dangerous condition was a proximate cause of the plaintiff's injuries.
